on the first day in class we made newspapers that would withstand the weight of a cinder block. simply mine failed. the main problem was the fact that it was that it leaned to one side. i had originally designed my newspaper tower to be like a oil rig. 5 strong tubes with a stronger and thincker base tubes for balance. the problem i ran into is that i used one tube to fit my base tubes and so not all of them fit in place. this caused me to have to bend the tops of the tubes instead of having a uniform and flat surface on which to put my platform. i built all of my tubes at once waiting to leave the assembly for the end. i think this last part was to the biggest detriment. I ended up rushing the construction and not able to correct my mistakes by doing so. not sure if i still have an image for this or if i ever took one...
